Attracting Clients towards Business Coaching
If you have been trying to establish your own business coaching practice for a while, you would probably already be aware of how daunting attracting clients to the business can be. To attract more clients, coaches need to tap their hidden talents and passion for business coaching, to outshine the other business coaches around. It is important to have a successful and flourishing business to establish yourself as a mentor to clients. The contribution of business coaching society is incomparable. There are many coaches trained to expand on their inherent skills, however, they are not concentrating on adhering to the doctrines instituted to develop their practice.
To attract more clients, business coaches need to try every possible approach, from using the right marketing techniques to managing time. However, most coaches miss out on a few essentials, like:
. A Strong Brand name: Driven by a good marketing strategy, the brand name for the business coaching practice plays a very important role in attracting new clients to benefit from your services. Clients get attracted to companies and practices that are well established and are renowned in the world of business coaching. Most coaches erroneously try to launch long-term marketing techniques and tend to ignore methods that need to be adopted to attract clients immediately. Although long-term strategies may appear safe and secure, they could stand in the way of your attracting clients, quicker. The ideal marketing strategies include public speaking, use of the Internet, public relations and professional vision. However, these could also be used later and it is very important to develop short-term techniques.
. Customer Servicing: Driven by unique solutions, clients enlist in companies that are equipped to answer all their queries and solve all their problems. With a good customer support team not only does the practice benefit greatly, but the number of clients also increase manifold.
. Sales Pitch: An aggressive sales pitch goes a long way in attracting customers. The paradigm has now shifted and most business coaching enterprises have upgraded from conventional door-to-door selling, to other means of attracting clients. Today, most companies have adopted selling their practices as part of a lifestyle. Clients should be able to trust the deliverance of the appropriate services, while companies should shift their focus from the conventional to the global implementation of services.
You should be sure about what you want and what wont do. You should make a list and write all the points down. Coaches need to focus on catering to their clients specific needs, instead of concentrating on themselves. As a coach, you must develop a new focus, to enable you to coach with absolute freedom and empower others. This will enhance your coaching strategies and open up avenues to lure new clients. There are a number of coaches who are unable to offer clear and precise explanations. You should practice and exercise the best possible way of expressing your point of view, so that your client base will expand, adding to your success. Fortunately, there are many ways to attract clients. It is possible to overcome initial hurdles and obstacles, by keeping the basics in mind. Discover the secrets of success at Business Coach. Business Coaching Tips, Ideas And Services
Very often we find that in spite of all the efforts, commitment, time, finances and resources, the business does not perform up to our expectations. Every businessman or proprietor wants his business to succeed and earn greater revenues but sometimes it is hard to take your business to the next level. At times you may experience difficulties in dealing with certain situations or may not be sure of what your next step should be. In such a case, you need to hire the professional services of a business coach who has all the required skills and expertise in this field.
Many a times, most businessmen refrain from recruiting a business coach since they are not aware of the benefits they, the company and personnel can accrue of. They are not sure of what they can expect and are hesitant because they do not consider it a worthwhile investment in terms of the time and money spent. To begin with, the basic purpose of a coach is to provide support to the proprietor in every aspect of business. The aim of a business coach is not to dictate you but help you your staff with routine business activities as well as achievement of long-term goals.
Unlike business counselors, business coaches are mentors who provide your business with the right direction and take the responsibility for steering it towards the accomplishment of your business goals and objectives. They promote the business and encourage your staff by providing a rich and varied learning environment. Through proper evaluation and analysis of your business, they form conclusions about your targets and resources and then accordingly lay down strategic plans in order to achieve the desired business goals.
Based on this evaluation, a business coach designs an appropriate coaching session not only for you but for your personnel as well. Once the coach fully comprehends what it is exactly that you desire for your business, he will then appropriately direct the coaching sessions. In order for the business coach to be able to do this and consequently provide efficient coaching services, you need to communicate your ideas and thoughts effectively to him or else the purpose of hiring a business coach will not be served.
In order to get the most out of the investment that you have made in hiring a business coach, good and effective communication is the essential criterion. Until, you dont give the business coach a clear picture of what your business aims are and the means available to you, he will not be able to provide you satisfactory services. He needs to have a precise idea of what you aspire to achieve in business and then through his coaching sessions, you will be able to reap the benefits and increase your chances of fulfilling it. Hence, the initial evaluation at the first meeting is of crucial importance.
A business may require business coaching sessions not only during the initial phase but also during the period of expansion and growth. Different businesses experience different problems during different stages and this is where business coaches come to your rescue. You may hire a business coach for several reasons. It could be to help you establish your business, or instill managerial and marketing skills or increase your business clientele. Whatever the need, it is always better to recruit a versatile coach who is capable of providing you with all these services. <a href="http://www.businesscoach.com/go/bc/about_us/business_coach_programs/business_coach_training/index.cfm” rel=”nofollow”>Business Coach Training that gives you a step by step blue print to your <a href="http://www.businesscoach.com/go/bc/index.cfm” rel=”nofollow”>Business Coaching success. Business Coaching Helped Baby Angel Thrive
Some women who did it all before giving birth think they’ll be fine after they give birth. They’ve never experienced problems before, after all. What could go wrong? As many new mothers soon found out, lots. Turns out, transitioning to motherhood isn’t as easy as they thought it would be. Rebecca Cass, a nurse experienced in pediatric, neonatal and obstetric care, formed Baby Angel in March 2007. Rebecca saw a real need for a service that provided all the extra care and support missing for new parents when they were sent home within days, or often hours, after delivery. Being a mum herself, Rebecca knew what it was like to go home exhausted with all the responsibilities of a new baby. She also understood how valuable a meal or help with the housework was in those important early days at home. Since 2007, Baby Angel has helped a great number of parents with those first few weeks, whether it be teaching new mums and dads how to settle and understand their babies, regular daily home help, or delivering fresh family food parcels. It was a great idea, and it quickly caught on as more and more new mothers realized they couldn?t do it all. But when she first started the business, Cass had trouble grasping her vision and getting things up and running. That?s when she decided to hire Gaylene Hughes, an ActionCOACH Business Coach, to help her really get her start-up started. Cash flow was an issue, and she didn?t think she had enough time to work on her business. ?Gaylene was recommended to me by my accountant, a client of Gaylene?s,? Cass said. ?Gaylene has assisted me with rolling out stage one of my strategic vision for Baby Angel. She has assisted in translating my constant flow of entrepreneurial visions into a methodical business model that is sustainable, profitable and replicable in other markets.? So far, this model has facilitated and managed explosive growth, and that?s due in part to what Hughes has set up for Cass. ?Rebecca?s been focusing on the back-end of her operation and completing ?Operation Hands-Off,? where she?s removing herself from the day to day operation of the business,? Hughes said. ?She was running around like a mad thing and not being able to focus on the business as well as her family. She was a bottleneck, especially as the business grew.? But once Hughes started coaching Cass consistently, improvements started to show through. “Rebecca has been absolutely fantastic. She has a real vision for the potential of this business. She’s meant to be doing this,” Hughes said. ?She is very driven and possesses great business acumen which is great for me. She soaks up anything and everything I throw at her and seeks out advice proactively from her other networks.? To learn more, visit http://www.businesscoaching.comcharacter building

Three years ago, Chris Robertson and his family moved from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast. With his own business, Robertson thought he?d have a flexible schedule to enable him to enjoy the beaches and golf courses, but unfortunately, with his business, he actually didn?t have a flexible schedule. Robertson was working all the time at his business, Beel Welding and Fabrication ? long days, every Saturday and some Sundays. And worst of all, he wasn?t making as much money as he knew he could. Three months ago, however, he hired an ActionCOACH Business Coach, Warrick Bidwell, and his business situation has vastly improved. Robertson actually took some convincing to hire a Coach? Bidwell?s team got in touch with him a year ago, but couldn?t convince him that business coaching was a worthy investment. Bidwell invited him to an Intro to Business Coaching seminar five months ago, but he couldn’t attend. Finally, Robertson attended a Business Diagnostic with Bidwell and finally hired him as a Business Coach. Beel Welding and Fabrication seems to have been doing better ever since hiring him. “In the past three months, we’ve been establishing goals and putting systems in place for his team as well as working on Chris’ leadership and confidence,” Bidwell said. ?He?s now only working the occasional Saturday and no Sundays. He’s spending less time working and more time with his wife and children.? ?We?ve also improved the financial side of the business, for example, by measuring everything we?ve worked out that his rework and materials wastage is costing him almost $80,000 p.a. By putting in place bonuses based on accuracy and productivity for his team, this will add over $50,000 to his net profit, which is about 12 percent,? he added. Before hiring a Business Coach, Robertson was most concerned with how much money Bidwell would save him over time. He also wanted his quality of life back. It seems that he got that and then some ? he is about to buy his dream car, a brand new V8 Ute. But that dream car is only a piece of the whole pie, and Robertson still has work to do. “We are continuing to work on reducing his work hours and still maintaining revenue and profit at its steadily growing levels,” Bidwell said. ?This will be through systems, leadership and improvements to marketing, specifically defining target market and aligning the business with quality suppliers and alliances.? How can you tell if you and your business have a need for a Business Coach? If you are working too many hours, making too little money, dealing with too many issues related to your team and employees, or simply feeling that working in your business is little better than having a job, then you probably need a Business Coach. In today’s economy, that is the state of most business owners. It’s also why more than 80% of all businesses fail within five years, even when run by smart, bright and highly motivated individuals. The good news is the gap between what people think they know about business and business reality can be filled very effectively by a good Business Coach. Why? Because good Business Coaches are generalists, as opposed to business consultants, who tend to be specialists, or who tend to be highly skilled in a particular area or expert in a particular industry. Not that there is anything wrong with that … but for most small businesses (and that accounts for more than 98% of all businesses), owners are looking for exponential changes in their companies very quickly (typically in terms of six to eight weeks). While a business consultant is used to delivering incremental results (which, for a large corporation can mean millions to the bottom-line), a Business Coach’s results can deliver tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in profits to a small business owner (which, for a small business and its owner can literally be business – and life – changing). In addition, as the world of business change becomes more rapid, most business owners have more questions about how to run their companies than they have answers. Business coaching is the perfect solution to this … because answers to issues are arrived at and strategies executed in real-time, with the Business Coach serving to guide the process instead of just writing up a report and leaving it for the owner to implement. In this way, a Business Coach shares many similarities with a sports coach. Both use strategies and tactics to guide others to victory. In business, this takes the form of a business plan; in sports, a game plan. A good Business Coach will also see each team member as unique, and will work with the owner to find more effective and efficient ways leverage existing resources to get better results. He or she will also motivate, inspire and challenge a business owner to succeed, becoming an “unreasonable friend” to achieve a goal or outcome. This idea of accountability is important for small businesses for a number of reasons, and it is one of the reasons business coaching is so successful. For many owners, running a company means “freedom,” and it can be liberating to work as an independent owner. But true freedom is only attained after the business has become a commercial and profitable enterprise that is able to operate without the owner being physically present in the business. In large companies, this level of accountability is provided by a board of directors. In a small business, the owner is on his or her own. Not only can a Business Coach provide a “sounding board” for new and current initiatives, he or she can hold the owner to knowing the numbers of the business, creating and delivering on 90-day plans, and testing and measuring marketing efforts – from increased leads to higher profit margins. So if you are a small-to-medium sized business owner (and by that I mean any business with revenues up to $50 million), and you are looking at outside help for business, consider business coaching as an alternative to business consulting. Recent studies have proven that business coaching is an up-and-coming industry – the second-fastest growing industry in the world. Business coaching is just like sports coaching ? like a sports coach coaching an athlete and trains them to get better, business coaching not only helps businesses establish organized plans for every challenge they come across, it helps set those plans in motion. Business coaching is very similar to sports coaching – a business coach helps businesses establish plans for challenges and to achieve goals they set, just like sports coaches do for their athletes. Companies that have business coaching tackle challenges with a plan and business strategy from the business owner?s view and an outside view: the business coach. This way, the business owner can achieve all he wants. Here are some general statistics about business coaching today: ?Annual spending on executive coaching in the United States is estimated at $1 billion.? ? Harvard Business Review, November 2004. ?Use of coaching is widespread in UK organisations, with almost nine in ten respondents reporting that they now use coaching in their organization (88%).? ? University of Bristol Newsletter, 2005. ?The Australian Institute of Management says 70% of its member companies hire coaches.? ? Inside Business Channel 2, July 2006. ?A recent study estimates that 40,000 people in the U.S. work as coaches (work or life) and the $2.4 billion market is growing at a fast-paced 18% per year.? ? MarketData Report, 2007. ?Coaching is the second-fastest growing profession in the world, rivaled only by information technology.? ? National Post, April 2007. What Do These Statistics Mean? The statistics and reports don?t lie ? business coaching is not only a fast-expanding industry, it?s expanding because it?s a successful industry. Just like sports athletes have to keep ahead of their competitors with a coach, business industries, especially in this recession, are getting extremely competitive. Think about if a sports athlete didn?t have a coach. He might keep doing the same things that have worked for him many times before, and he might be fine for a while. But eventually, since he?s doing the same things and not necessarily getting better at his sport or his skills, the competition will surpass him. It?s the same thing with business. With all the industry changes, innovations and management strategies, business owners can?t keep doing the same thing they?ve been doing. Eventually competitors will leave the company in their dust, so to speak. It?s even true with the big brands ? McDonald?s, Starbucks and Coca-Cola are constantly ahead of the game and dealing with challenges. Especially in the recession ? how many brands that used to be around (Fannie Mae, Bombay Co., Circuit City) aren’t anymore? When it comes to a company’s competitors, business coaching is a sound investment in your company’s future because it keeps you ahead of them. It?s still a relatively new business industry, but the statistics don?t lie: business coaching is fast-becoming a great investment because it keeps the company ahead of competitors.Business coaching is the second fastest growing industry for several of the following reasons: – Business coaching increases performance. Coaching develops the best qualities of people and teams, making the most of everyone?s qualities and significantly increasing productivity, making the most of everyone?s talents and skills for the company. – Business coaching enables owners to motivate their staff. Coaching helps people to work to their utmost potential, increase their self-esteem and thus raise the quality of their work and increase productivity at the same time. – Business coaching improves employees’ development. Staff development means not only educational seminars and trainings, but also unlocking the inner potential of the company?s employees. Whether the employees are going to develop themselves or not depends mainly on the company?s management style. Initially, all of us have a great potential which can be revealed through coaching. Coaching allows the employees to develop themselves directly in the workplace, thus increasing their efficiency. If you?re convinced, you?re one step closer to bettering your business. Did you just start a business coaching service? If you did, you will need to have a step-by-step guide for your clients. This guide shows focus on the various components of running a successful business. First, you are just a business coach. Some business owners do not understand exactly what a business coach does. Explain that you are just like a football coach. You will teach your client and other team members the plays. You will practice these plays with them and then watch them perform alone. At the end, you will provide feedback, just like a football coach does. Make sure your client knows that action is required on their part. You will not do all the work. If they do not understand this, then everyone’s time is wasted. All employees must be responsible for their actions and held accountable. Most of the largest problems arise with small business owners. They have developed close relationships with their employees. They want a healthy workplace environment, so conflict is avoided. This is good, but at many businesses, poor performing employees are able to slide under the radar. Everyone has excuses and sob stories; your client will have one too if they do not start turning their business around. Stress this point. Management must handle poor performing employees. With small businesses, the company owner is typically the manager. They handle the day-to-day management tasks. With medium sized businesses, these tasks are delegated to trained professionals. In these instances, stress the important of management, accountability, and leadership development. Management should handle all poor performing employees, not let them get away with poor productivity and performance. Yes, this may involve letting someone go, but management must be trained in and know the importance of putting the company first. Sales must increase. To make money, a business sells either a product or a service. To run a profitable business, sales must increase. Stress this importance to your client. Once again, you are a business coach, so feed them ideas. In a retail setting, encourage multiple sales, up-sales, and a knowledgeable staff. This should lead to increased profits. Also, focus on marketing. No one will buy a product or service if they do not know it exists. This is important for new business owners, as most mistakenly believe that if they have something for sale, people will automatically buy it. As a professional in business management, you know this is not true. Cost must be lowered. Increased sales generate increased profits. With that said, it is important to look at the whole picture. Making $25 from the sale of a handmade toy is nice, but could that profit be higher? It can and should be. Stress the importance to your client of low operating costs. Plainly state it will increase business profits. Give them ideas to get started, watch, analyze, and provide suggestions. Make it known that you do not always have to use poor quality building materials or terminate employees to lower costs, there are additional ways. Tikee PittmanPay Per Click Company science kits

Copyright (c) 2009 Alan Gillies In these unusually complicated times, business owners are trying to grab onto any advantage that they can find. It’s not a very well understood situation, but the average business owner has to deal with so many issues at any single point in time, and has such a full schedule that they rarely seem to feel that they can have any sort of personal life for themselves. A typical business owner has to wear an amazing number of “hats”, expressing a variety of roles and several personalities all through each and every day. It’s little wonder, that entrepreneurs are getting involved with executive management coaching and the services of a business coach to move forward in their respective fields. Faced with a considerable demand for their time, many shrewd owners are employing the services of a mobile business coach. This allows them to conduct discussions with, seek advice and ask questions with a coach interactively, via a wide array of available media. In addition to the conventional telephone call, via landline or mobile phone, e-mail is an increasingly popular mode of communication, as is SMS, the use of a conference website, webinars, Skype phone or instant messaging. These options allows a business coach to be available and useful whenever they are needed, regardless of physical location. As transportation costs increase and the time that it takes to travel from point A to point B expands, it is anticipated that there will be an increasing demand for mobile executive coaching. There are four key benefits associated with this approach: Geographical boundaries disappear, and clients and cultures are able to communicate at their convenience. The sharing of documents and files, even complete computer systems is now possible, and the business coach can instantly look at documents, websites or sensitive files via this two-way technology. Physical boundaries are immaterial in this technological world. Sometimes, this type of virtual communication offers the participant a sense of security. Insofar as they do not feel that they are “on the spot”, it may allow them to concentrate more on the conversation rather than spurious visual distractions. Thirdly, as time is of the essence these days, the mobile business coach can cut out the considerable time and resources needed to gain access. Finally, it has been found that mobile coaching requires as much as 30% less time to deliver than a conventional program, and that sessions are greatly focused and a lot more productive. The system allows both parties to narrow their focus to the discussion at hand and they will often have a very clear idea of what they want to accomplish prior to the session. While some topics will always require a more personal approach – especially those matters involving security or other confidential matters – mobile business coach services, are taking advantage of the advance of technology, and becoming a much more palatable proposition for the time-harried executive. Speak with your business coach to arrange your upcoming mobile consultation. Alan Gillies is the Managing Director of the L2L Group.
